Day 5 - Match day

This was the big one, an evening fixture under the floodlights against an exceptional Belgian club.

Whilst it was a tough day for the 2nd's...

They fought hard and displayed superb resilience and passion and made us all very proud.

The stand out players were hard to choose from amongst so many spirited performances, however Johan picked up an award for determination...

...Toby for his tireless work ethic....

...and Jack for his battling defence.

As for the 1st team, they had an incredible match that was enjoyed by all watching and even brought a tear of pride to one or two eyes... Mr Franklin!

On a serious note, the boys made us all so proud as they rose above questionable refereeing decisions, two disallowed goals, and "Fergie" time to the extreme to finish 2-2 after leading 2-0.

Man of the Match went to Jake, who led the team brilliantly and refused to bring his team down to the hosts level.

For his work ethic in the heart of the defence, Will M picked up an award.

Other awards went to Will C and Will W for trainer of the day.

Fifa and Mingyi for their conduct in training all tour.

Edward for his debut European goal.

Teddy got the golden boot award for 6 goals in 2 matches and countless more in training.

Will C received his second award of the night for most valuable person (MVP) for the boys.

As for the girls...

Emilia received her bowling trophy

Sophia got trainer of the day.

Pase got top tourist for all of her helpfulness towards staff and fellow tourists.

Florrie was unanimously voted for as most valuable person (MVP) for the girls.

Finally, the boys showed their appreciation for H with a little thank you.

We'll keep you posted with tomorrow's updates with the girls shopping trip and the boys final training session.
